• President's Day Federal Holiday - Monday, February 16, 2009

You may access your account information 24/7 through ebranch or Zip24 phone.  Account Funds may be withdrawn 24/7 via Cashpoint ATMs and other Visa network ATMs.

CPCU Annual Holiday Loan

It's that time of year again - time for CPCU's Annual Holiday Loan!  Our Holiday Loan is a $1,500 loan at 12% APR - this means your monthly payment would be approximately $115.00 or a bi-weekly payment (allotment) would be approximately a very affordable $55.00.  This offer ends December 19, 2008 so be sure and apply for your CPCU Holiday Loan today!  Click here for a Holiday Loan Application.  You may fax, mail or drop the application off to any CPCU location.  Fax to: 704-392-4489

CPCU's Holiday Club Account

Members that have a CPCU '08 Holiday Club Account will have access to those funds November 1.  If you set up the automatic transfer feature your Holiday savings will be placed into your selected savings or checking account Saturday, November 1.  Be prepared for next year and and set up payroll allotments for your '09 Holiday Club Account today!  Click here for the form to set up your Holiday Club Account for '09.  You may mail, fax, or drop off the form to any CPCU branch location.

Federal Insurance Coverage now Increased to $250,000

As of October 3, 2008 with the passage of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 the NCUA is immediately increasing share insurance protection to $250,000 on all types of accounts until December 31, 2009.  The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) is the independent federal agency that regulates, charters and supervises federal credit unions. NCUA, with the backing of the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, operates and manages the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, insuring the deposits of nearly 89 million accounts in all federal credit unions and the overwhelming majority of state-chartered credit unions.  For more information on the NCUA please click here.

• Credit Unions lend responsibly – we have a more conservative approach to lending and most credit unions hold onto about 70% of their mortgages instead of selling them to Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac.  Carolina Postal Credit Union has never sold our mortgages portfolio.
