Community

As a Financial Cooperative, Carolina Postal Credit Union believes in giving back to our community in a variety of ways, from supporting the NALC Letter Carriers Annual Food Drive, to co-ordinating Operation CU Troop, to raising funds for the kids at Camp Victory Junction.

Toys For Tots - Charlotte, NC CPCU serves as a drop off for USPS employees (and anyone else) that would like to donate a new, unwrapped toy to a child in need.  We are proud to assist the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots program.

Fee 4 Food In December CPCU offers "Fee 4 Food" for our members.  By bringing a large item of Food* to any CPCU Branch location and we refunded one fee for our members!. We truly believe it is good to give to receive! All Food Items were donated to a local food bank for each branch.

Operation CU Troop  - For the past several years Carolina Postal Credit Union and other NC credit unions collected personal items that were needed & appreciated by our troops overseas.

"A Rose of Thanks" CPCU places these thank-you cards for the troops in our Lobbies during the Holiday Season for our members to sign.  For more information on A Rose of Thanks for the Troops please click here.

PERF - Postal Employees Relief Fund

PERF is solely for USPS employees who are victims of major natural disasters and fires.  PERF is directed and maintained by USPS affiliated unions and management groups.

To help raise funds, Carolina Postal Credit Union  conducts fund-raising drives for PERF periodically.  Paper PERF mailboxes are sold at each CPCU branch and 100% of the money donated is given to PERF.

For additional information and photos on these community events, check out our CPCU Blog.

Carolina Postal Credit Union received hundreds of donated items for our troops overseas during our annual Operation CU Troop drive.  Here are photos of our Operation CU Troop "journey" and the many volunteers that made it possible.

Special Thanks to the JR ROTC Cadets of the Phillip O Berry Academy of Technology in Charlotte for organizing, sorting and packing over 1,000 gift bags for the soldiers in the field.  The individual gift bags are distributed through the Charlotte Airport USO offices over the Christmas & New Year's holidays.
