Carolina Postal Credit Union is not only the largest Postal credit union in North Carolina, CPCU has been serving its members the longest! CPCU serves USPS employees, active and retired in North Carolina and the Mid-Carolinas District; Federal employees, active and retired; anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Catawba County; and members of the Greater North Carolina Postal Customer Councils (PCC's). Family and household members of our members are also eligible to join. And once a member, always a member! Even if you leave your employer or move you may keep your CPCU membership.

History
Carolina Postal Credit Union was chartered October 20, 1934 in Charlotte, North Carolina to serve the Postal employees of the Charlotte area, but now CPCU serves all of North Carolina and part of South Carolina (the USPS Mid-Carolinas District).

Due to a merger with Foothills Community Credit Union in Hickory in 2007, Carolina Postal Credit Union also serves anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Catawba County. In 2011, CPCU added the Charlotte and Triad and Raleigh Postal Customer Councils (PCC's). Members of the PCC or employees of member companies of the PCCs may join Carolina Postal Credit Union.

Carolina Postal also serves active & retired Federal employees. Family & Household members of yours may also join Carolina Postal Credit Union.

Carolina Postal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by our members. CPCU members' deposits are federally insured up to $250,000 (including IRAs) by the NCUA, a United States Government Agency.
